wedding accesory trends

Your wedding day is approaching… you have THE dress of your dreams… now you just need to decide how you are going to accessorise. You don’t want to over do it, but you want to make sure that you have the right amount of bling!
Bride Online have travelled the globe looking for this seasons must have wedding accessory trends, so without any further adieu here they are…
Bird Cage Veils
Vintage inspired Bird Cage veils  add a touch of glamour without “over doing it”  The birdcage is a subtle option for those brides wanting something traditional with a chic  twist.
Blue Shoes
Ever since Carrie strutted down the aisle in her blue Manolo’s, brides have been snapping up blue shoes and killing two wedding birds with one stone. Blue shoes not only fill the “something blue” category they are totally wearable again and again.  So, go on, lash out and pick up a paid of Blue Jimmy Choo’s because when y0u think about how many times you’ll wear them, they are TOTALLY justified!
Sparkly Clutches
There are so many unbelievably adorable clutches out there, we LOVE the Swarovski Crystal ones available here. Yes, some of them are on the pricey side but they make such beautiful accessories and look so much better than the ones Aunty Joan made from the left over 1980’s taffeta she had lying around… Give them to your bridesmaids as their “gift” and justify it!
Brooches on bouquets
A great way to incorporate the “something old” into your day is to borrow a brooch or pin from a mother/grandmother or family friend. Its a great way of finishing off your bouquet and securing all of the ribbons and loose ends whilst adding an extra sparkle to your bouquet.

Parasols
Its been around forever and falls in and out of favour with brides. The trusty parasol can be both functional and aesthetic…. its an all rounder… There are lots of options out there vary in price and quality. Our advice, keep it simple and fresh. You don’t want to look like you have just stepped off the set of “Picnic at Hanging Rock” looking like Miranda…

Headbands
From simple thin “Alice bands” to more elaborate and embellished 1930’s inspired pieces, headbands are making a come back and are replacing the tiara as the head wear De jour (thank God!) Try something super simple with an up do or make more of a statement with beading or even a bow. There are so many beautiful options and if bespoke head wear if out of the budget, there are heaps of great headbands available at chain stores, you just need to look!
