Cute Ideas for Your “Something Blue”

Meagan Dill

When it comes to planning your wedding, it’s often the subtle details that end up as the most unique aspects of the day. One of the best examples of this is making use of the old tradition of wearing something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue down the aisle.

The possibilities here are endless. For example, if you ever wanted an excuse to purchase a pretty blue trinket, now’s the time. After all, who could fault you for ticking off two of the four of these traditional requirements at once? Rather efficient, I’d say.

Having something customised in a discreet manner is a sure way to make your something blue that much more special. As long as it’s, well, blue, you could go with anything from a label sewn on the inside of your dress to a message on the sole of your shoes. On the day, you’ll feel as if you have a little secret that only a select few will know about.

There are so many ways to put your own spin on “something blue”. Here are a few of my blue favourites – what are yours?
