Meet Amanda & Stephen
We met just after I left school – living in a small country town, me working behind a bar, knew of him, but didn’t know him that well – we were just just stuck together all the time, working hard at his parents cattle property on weekends, working fulltime, and going alot of places, seeing different things, meeting new people – Thinking about life without him would be hard! We were like two peas in a pod! 😀
The proposal
I had just got back from a 4 week trip to Europe, Stephen was telling me all about this romantic afternoon ‘horse ride’ he was going to take me on – and when he said horse riding – I assumed work! Of course! Turns out he couldn’t wait for that day – because one rainy night before coming back from dinner, he proposed to me in the kitchen of our house, on one knee with a ring chose – not sounding like what he had planned, he was so nervous – I guess he couldn’t wait! It was sweet!
Your Wedding Day
Our wonderful beautiful weather – winter wedding on the 13th August 2011 day, was so RELAXED, it was a day wedding, so the ceremony started at 11am, and lunch at 1pm. Photography was just for that short time in between. Our ceremony was simple, my sister read a reading for me, and the celebrant was easy to get along with! I had no time to drink – the people we had invited for the day, where exactly who we wanted to share it with, the day went as planned with no problems at all (apart from Stephen’s suit not turning up until the night before), The people I had hired for the day, in every aspect, where all I could have asked for ! I was so impressed with them all! (they say I was easy to please) how could it be different with awesome suppliers in a small town! . People were so kind with their speeches, and their generosity was overwhelming, it just made us truly appreciate the people in our lives! We are honeslty blessed and felt it every minute of the day! We also had breakfast the next day – for people who wanted to come along and this was our way of showing the appreciation in the smallest way! The country is awesome! So pretty – made the perfect day for us! The entertainment was fantastic!
