Miel is based on a duo whose members met whilst studying Music Performance at the Victorian College of the Arts. The group has extensive experience performing a variety of jazz standards, rejuvenated covers and original music, in a blend of jazz, Motown, reggae, funk, blues and gypsy styles. They have played with performers such as Hugh Jackman, Deborah Conway and Jerry Spieser (Men At Work) and have direct access to the best of the Melbourne music scene.
Accommodating to your needs:
When planning for your special day Ben and the band will happily discuss your needs, tailoring the musical style and band size to suit your requirements. Previous performances have shown that the duo is perfect for pre-dinner drinks or times when background music is most appropriate. When you require music that everyone can dance to Miel can add a vocalist and expand to a 5-piece band covering jazz standards (as sung by Michael Bublé, Robbie Williams, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald), and rock n' roll and pop classics (from bands such as The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Crowded House).
