You will find Sketches Mountain Resort just 90 minutes from Brisbane and Sunshine Coast (30 mins from Toowoomba). You will leave city congestion behind and follow the scenic, country drive towards Esk, situated in the centre of the Valley of Lakes in the Darling Downs. At Esk, you will turn off and head for Ravensbourne, to Sketches Mountain Resort.

The magnificent views and stunning landscape will draw you in as will Sketches chalets’ with their vaulted ceilings, wood finishes, crisp linen and charming personalities. 1 bedroom chalets provide the ideal base for singles or romantic couples, 2 bedroom chalets offer extra space for you and a friend or you and the kids and 3 bedroom chalets effortlessly cater to a family get together or a fun escape with friends. Each chalet is self-contained and features a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, air conditioning, a fireplace and some chalets have a spa bath. Each chalet has a private balcony with its own barbeque.

For those of you traveling light, breakfast hampers and barbeque packs are available from reception upon request.  Sketches Café can provide brunch, morning and afternoon tea and lunch on Fridays and weekends for in-house guests and day visitors and Sketches Restaurant is also open on Saturday evenings for dinner and special functions.

Activities and adventures: starting at Sketches with a 9 hole golf course, full size tennis court and mountain bikes available for hire. Nearby bush walks range from a 500 metre circuit to 1-2 hour treks.  The local area’s numerous lakes offer the opportunity to fish, picnic, bush walk, sail, canoe, windsurf, water ski and bird watch.  Other local attractions are the Rimfire Winery – the Darling Downs’ oldest vineyard; Hampton Blue Berry Farm; Darling Downs Aero Club; and Skydive Ramblers.
