Zara Phillips is clearly not your average Royal! Her low key wedding to Rugby player Mike Tindall in Scotland on the weekend was a night to be remembered (or not!) by all from what we hear! The bride wore white, the groom a morning suit and the party went until the wee hours! Guests drank chilled Vodka shots from a fountain and nibbled on chips whilst they waited for the festivities to kick off and partied until they literally dropped, with rumors that the groom fell asleep in a chair in the bar!
The Bride wore a Stewart Parvin designed dress made from ivory duchess silk and layers of lace gave a full-skirt effect with a a cathedral length veil and Greek Key tiara loaned to Zara by her mother Princess Anne. Its believed that Zara and her Grandmother, The Queen both wore the same designer on the day!
The wedding ceremony at Canongate Kirk lasted for 45 minutes, and featured a choir of 15 . The couple held their reception at the Queens official Scottish residence, Holyroodhouse where guests dined on Scottish cuisine including Lobster and Venison.
We love this non conventional wedding and the informal and relaxed feel. Would you have a Vodka fountain at your reception? Would you wear the same designer as your grandmother? Tell us!
