Last week UK singer Lily Allen announced that she had chosen Rupert Sanderson as her cobbler of choice for her wedding day.
Not only has Lily ordered a pair of killer heels, she has also had a pair of flats custom made for the occasion for when she needs to be mobile. Genius. So many brides spend their day in complete agony teetering around is silly heels, much to high, that cause burning, aching and blistered feet. Modern brides are opting for alternatives such as Tipsy Toes and emergency ballet flats, however these alternatives are usually for the end of the night when the dancing and partying takes over.
We think it makes total sense to have both flats and heels (especially if you are outdoors) Lily told Vogue “He’s making me a pair of flats and a pair of heels, so I can run up and down hills. It’s much chicer to have two pairs I think. I just really hope it doesn’t rain.”
We think this is a good sensible option… what do you think? Would you have a spare pair of flats on your wedding day or do you think you would grin and bear the pain for a few hours?
