Something old, something new, something borrowed, something… blue….
Trying to find that something blue can be tricky and superstitious brides who dare not walk down the aisle without that something blue often resort to sewing a blue ribbon into the lining of their dresses. Well… the Bride Online team have come up with a few rather genius ideas to tick “the something blue box” and they don’t need to cost a fortune!
Earrings- Go for a super simple navy blue sapphire stud or perhaps try a turquoise chandelier…
Perfume- Lots of perfumes are named after colours and have distinctive bottles (think “light blue” by Dolce & Gabbana)
Shoes- Whilst we all cant rock a pair of Manolo’s like Carrie did at her wedding to “Big” there are a number of bespoke shoe makers out there who can create the perfect pair of blue shoes for your wedding day!
Flowers- Who said your something blue couldn’t be in your bouquet?
Make Up- Blue eyeliner and eye shadow are a great alternative to heavy and dark blacks
Hair-Not quite dying it blue… more like adding blue crystals and hair accessories
Clutch- All brides need somewhere to keep their tissues and lippy… who not ask have them in a blue clutch.
Nails- Maybe pass on the fingers, but perhaps the toes could do with a coat of OPI’s “Ogre The Top”
Bridesmaids- Have your bridesmaids in blue…
