Introduction to Sonja

I am pleased to announce that I am the newest addition to Bride Online, happily and excitedly accepting the role of a feature writer.

Having worked in the women's magazine industry over the past six years, I, now 26, have been surrounded and submerged into the world of women; from sharing their personal stories, sometimes joyous and sometimes tragic, to exploring the latest fashions, trends and weight loss crazes, to writing about women finding love.

And as the world of media is constantly changing and being updated, so is the concept of weddings. No longer are brides just settling for the "traditional" ceremony and reception; the Australian modern bride wants it all- and to her liking! Modern weddings reflect the ever-changing modern woman, and at Bride Online we want to explore that in all aspects.

In my new role I will be speaking one-on-one with modern brides, sharing their love stories, wedding plans and wedding woes, details of their magical day and anything and everything else related to weddings and wedding-related topics. Rather than just focusing on the big day itself, I want to focus on the blossoming romance, how different weddings represent different personalities, and what happens after the big day- believe it or not it's an aspect many brides often lose focus of! No topic or notion will be left unexplored, no rock left unturned, and I can't wait to start sharing in your stories. And always remember, we welcome and encourage your feedback- what do YOU want to read more about?

So without further ado, let's get the ball rolling on taking this fresh approach to brides, weddings, relationships and of course marriage. Recently engaged myself, if anyone knows what the modern Australian bride wants I believe "I do".
