Bride Online is Australia’s premium website for brides to plan their perfect wedding. Bride Online was launched 9 years ago and has been helping brides plan their perfect wedding ever since.

The world in 2009 is a changed place. We know that most brides to be use the internet almost exclusively for their wedding planning and wedding research.

Over the 9 years we have been operating we have tracked, analysed, and researched our website visitors. Depending upon the month and seasonality we have between 90,000 and 200,000 absolute unique visitors per month.

We know which pages on our web site are more popular than others, which pages get more visits, and which adverts get results.

As a result of this research and with the launch of our new web site we are able to offer a new highly effective and highly targeted advertising medium…

Because of the flexibility of our new web site structure we are able to offer banner ads and tower ads in highly targeted locations. You can choose to advertise only in a specific region and category, or you can choose to advertise in a main category page. You can even choose to advertise on our home page if you wish.

Pricing

Banner and Tower ad campaigns run for a full calendar month. Prices per month for our banner ads and tower ad spaces are current as of January 2009 and range from $700 for a banner ad on our home page to as little as $30 per month for a Tower Ad on one of our less populated regional category pages.

The Bride Online Banner ads sit at the top of each page on our web site.

The Bride Online Tower Ad sits at the right hand side of many pages (not all) on our web site.

Each Banner ad and Tower ad conforms to the industry standard sizing requirements.
Banner Ad Sizes – 728 pixels (Width) x 90 Pixels (Height)
Tower Ad Sizes – 160 Pixels (Width) x 600 Pixels (Height)

Ad Specifications

When you purchase a Banner ad or a Tower ad from Bride Online you are purchasing the ad space only.

The prices quoted do not include the cost of creation of the ad itself.

You can supply the ads yourself or we can quote you separately for the creation of an ad. Please remember that all our Banner and Tower ads are industry standard sizes, therefore once your ad has been created you can re use this advert many times for many different campaigns, with Bride Online and other advertisers if you wish.

Banner Ads and Tower Ads can be served in two file formats, either a Flash animation or an animated GIF. You will need to decide at the outset which format you require for your ad.

Flash Animation:

If you want to create your own flash animation please supply the following:

  1. A pre existing .swf file in the appropriate dimensions (see above)
  2. The filename for the .swf provided should be in all lower case characters without ampersands, asterisks, slashes, spaces or question marks.
  3. The .swf MUST be less than 39KB file size
  4. The .swf MUST contain a button in it which will link to your website or your brideonline profile page. But instead of adding the url on the button please use the code provided below - getURL(_level0.clickTag, "_blank"); As this variable is an expression, you will need to check the expression check box.
  5. All.swf files must be accompanied with a backup GIF file also of the same dimensions and less than 39KB file size. (Backup GIFs are required in case a client browser cannot play an animation, in which case the static GIF image will be served) The GIF can be an animated GIF (no more than 3 frames, no larger than 39KB in size) or a static GIF.
  6. A URL of a web page or your bride online profile page which you would like your advertisement to link to.
  7. An html and a javascript file generated from the flash file.

Animated GIF:

If you want to create your own animated GIF please supply the following:

  1. A pre existing .gif file in the appropriate dimensions (see above)
  2. The .GIF file must be less than 39KB in file size
  3. All animated GIFs must be accompanied with a backup static GIF file also of the same dimensions and less than 39KB file size. (Backup GIFs are required in case a client browser cannot play an animation, in which case the static GIF image will be served)
  4. A URL of a web page or your bride online profile page which you would like your advertisement to link to.

If you do not have an existing flash file or animated GIF, we will happily quote you a “one off” price for the creation of your advertisement.
