Wedding Day Makeovers and Cosmetic Procedures
Get Tanned, Toned and Terrific for your Big Day
Exercise and Weight Loss
With so many things to organise for your wedding, it's tempting to use the excuse of not having enough time or being too tired to work out. But if you want to get fit and look healthy on your wedding day you'll have to exercise four to five times a week. The exercise will burn calories and boost your metabolism which will in fact increase your energy levels. If you're having problems motivating yourself, think about getting a personal trainer. As well as motivating you they can create a fitness program tailored especially to suit your fitness goals for your wedding day.
Eating Well and Portion Control
Fad diets promise the world but only deliver short term results if any at all. They often leave the bride starved and drained – not the look you want on your big day! Eat balanced meals, up your fruit and vegetable intake and watch your portion sizes instead, for healthy weight loss. A healthy portion of meat or chicken is the size of a deck of cards whilst a serving of rice or pasta is the size of a tennis ball. Keep carrot sticks or rice crackers on hand for snacks too so you don't succumb to the dreaded afternoon chocolate bar.
Drink Lots of Water
Drink at least eight glasses of water a day. Water flushes out the toxins in your system and hydrates your skin which will give you a radiant complexion. It's also a great weight loss tool as drinking lots of water helps you to feel full and rids your body of fake hunger. Often when our bodies are dehydrated, we mistake it for hunger when it's actually thirsting for water. Thus, keeping well hydrated will eliminate the fake hunger pangs.
Stay Out of the Sun
Don't spend hours lying in the sun trying to get a tan before your wedding day. The ultraviolet rays are extremely harsh and cause freckling, wrinkles and premature aging. Get an airbrush tan instead. It's the healthy alternative.
Rest and Rejuvenate
In the insane world of weddings, a bride needs to take time out before the wedding to regain her sanity. Getting a massage or spa treatment is a great way of recharging your batteries and rejuvenating your mind, body and soul. Let a professional massage therapists knead all the tension out of your body with exotic, aromatic oils.
